ok so in the 1997 movie Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, when we meet the character jax, he's strapped into this surgical bed looking thing, and he's got these big metal arms. and then sonya's like "omg jax what did you do" and he's like "i got these sweet metal arms." but then way later in the movie (spoilers for this almost 30 year old movie ahead) jax gains like the power of confidence or whatever and decides he doesn't need his metal arms anymore. and they just kinda... fall off? like there's nothing connecting them to his arms, his regular arms are still totally fine underneath and everything, so he was just... wearing big metal sleeves? but why? what were the metal arms for?? thank you for reading my marquee ily.
